Celtics win, halt Knicks' streak at 6

Robert Parish scored a season-high 34 points and Kevin McHaleadded 26 Sunday night as the Boston Celtics ended New York's six-gamewinning streak with a 117-104 victory over the visiting Knicks.

The Celtics nailed down their 14th consecutive regular-seasonvictory over the Knicks at Boston Garden since 1984 with a 13-0 runearly in the fourth period.

The Knicks, who won six games on a homestand for their longestwinning streak since 1984, got 30 points from Patrick Ewing, 23 fromJohnny Newman and 12 apiece from Gerald Wilkins and Rod Strickland.
